Welcome to City Bureau’s Documenters Network! You’re about to join a community of people documenting what happens in public meetings in your neighborhood! This guide will walk through exactly what to do, step by step.

Become a Documenter | Documenters.org

What You’ll Do

All Documenters must create an account and share basic details before applying to their first assignments. These details help your local program staff know who you are and to help us learn more about our growing community of Documenters.

The whole process has 3 parts:

1. Fill out your profile (Tell us about yourself)
2. Attend an orientation (A short training in your area)
3. Take a quick quiz (Just to make sure you learned the key points)

Good news: You can save your work at any time and come back later! Your progress will be saved automatically. Once you finish these 3 steps, you’ll be ready to start documenting public meetings! 🎉
